Nine original songs with powerful horns, lush strings, sweet soul vocals and an all-star rhythm section, Greg Adams and\u00a0East Bay Soul\u00a0<\/strong>brings together a sensational blend of Funk, Jazz, Soul and R&B in their own style that is THE REAL<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

On the opening track \u201cDreams Come True\u201d Adams Flugelhorn melody sings out a love story in a dance between the strings and the rhythm section that says \u201cI finally found you and Dreams Come True\u201d<\/p>\n

The driving instrumental \u201cWest 57th \u201c<\/sup>mingles funk and jazz likened to a night on the town after hours \u2013 a sexy walk down hip street on Manhattan\u2019s west side.The luscious R&B Ballad \u201cBaby, Please Stay\u201d asks the question \u201cWho do you love?\u201d The band\u2019s dynamic performance and Terrell Edwards<\/strong> incredible vocals makes this track a cornerstone of the recording and features Greg\u2019s rich string and horn arrangement caressing the listener.<\/p>\n

Sometimes musical moments just happen! During a writing session between Greg, Nick and Terrell, a page of music manuscript fell on the floor on the top of the page was a date 4.8.19. It was placed on the piano, Nick starting playing and said \u201cWhat\u2019s this? \u00a0Greg \u201cI don\u2019t know, I must have written on 4.8.19\u201d Terrell \u201cI am good with lyrics.\u201d He wrote the lyric in 5 minutes. Baby, Please Stay was penned!<\/p>\n

The funk driven title cut \u201cTHE REAL\u201d a base laden groove powered by Del Atkins<\/strong>deft performance. A collective collaboration that brings songwriters Adams, Milo, Richard Smith, Tico V. Pierhagen and lyrics by Edwards leads you to all the elements of a contagious danceable romp!<\/p>\n

The muddy sound of \u201cDig A Little Deeper\u201d bed is set by the ease of Herman Matthews <\/strong>drumming. The clever lyrics are crafted by Rocky Maffit<\/strong>. The East Bay Soul Horn Section\u2019s<\/strong> answer and call has all the qualities of a train on rails rumbling through a bayou.<\/p>\n

With the release of The Real<\/em><\/strong> marks the 6th<\/sup> recording by the group over a span of 15 years. Nick Milo<\/strong> once again teams with Adams in production and their song writing skills have never been sharper. A partnership that has be realized for over 30 years<\/p>\n

Adams says \u201cWe had so much fun recording this project! Lot\u2019s laughs and hard work. Everything came together with such an easy feel! There was great chemistry between the whole band, laying down their expertise! Truly a group effort! We think as the listener you will feel it too!<\/p>\n
